Welcome to St. Therese Catholic School
In 2017, we celebrated 70 years of academic excellence! Our school community has grown from the days of the Dominican Sisters teaching local children in a Quonset hut, to a vibrant school meeting the needs of over 200 children. Our curriculum has remained rigorous, our love for God and faith in our Catholic Church is strong, and our parent involvement continues to reach across our community. Our students are actively involved in service projects both locally and globally.
Our teachers continue to be strong, dedicated, and compassionate. They are here because they have been called to teach and to reach the children at St. Therese Catholic School. They show their love for knowledge, faith, and children in the way they reach out to all of our children. Their goal is to help each child to do their very best and to become the person God intends them to become. We encourage our children to grow through faith, service, and learning opportunities each and every day. We are blessed to have such a wonderful team of teachers and staff.
Our children are learning to be good stewards in their environment. We have a very active greenhouse under the guidance of Mr. Par O'Meara. Our raised garden boxes are producing food throughout the year, and our outdoor classroom continues to be the center of our outdoor teaching and learning. The Garden Club uses this area to plan, grow and harvest vegetables, greens, and flowers throughout the school year.
We have been blessed with both Girl and Boy Scout troops at our school. This is a positive step in the formation of our children. It has also involved many parents and grandparents in our school and community outreach programs.
I would like to invite you to come and visit our small, yet amazing, school! From our parents and grandparents to our community volunteers; it truly does take a village to raise a child. Together, in the community, we are working to provide a better place four out children and our children's children. May God continue to bless and protect our children, our families, and our communities.
Many Blessings,
Donna Illerbrun
