Barbara grew up in the welcoming city of Roswell, New Mexico, where her curiosity about science and how things work sparked a lifelong love of learning. She went on to earn a Bachelor of Science in Biology from the University of New Mexico, laying a strong academic foundation for her career in education.
At start, Barbara serves as both a librarian and educational assistant, roles that have deepened her passion for supporting young learners. Her enthusiasm for working with children blossomed through these experiences, and she continues to expand her expertise by pursuing educational courses at CNM, where she also received her teaching license. With seven years of dedicated service to St. Therese School, Barbara is proud to belong to a community that reflects her core values of compassion, respect, and kindness—qualities she strives to model and nurture in every student.
Barbara is known for her exemplary work ethic, passion for education, and her genuine care for the well-being and growth of each child. She excels at building positive relationships and creating supportive, engaging environments where children thrive.
In 2025, Barbara’s steadfast commitment was honored with the Distinguished Disciple Award from the Archdiocese of Santa Fe. She is truly honored to inspire and support students at St. Therese, encouraging them each day to embrace learning, kindness, and personal growth.
