Mrs. Valerie Chacon is our Language Arts and Literature teacher and 7th grade homeroom teacher! Born and raised right here in Albuquerque, Ms. Chacon has deep roots in Catholic education, having attended San Felipe de Neri Catholic School and St. Therese Catholic School as a student herself. Her passion for faith-based education continues to shine through her years of service and dedication.
Ms. Chacon holds an Associate Degree and a Bachelor’s Degree from the University of Phoenix, with a focus on Human Services/Management and General Studies. She is now preparing to pursue a Master’s Degree in Education with an emphasis on Curriculum Instruction from the University of New Mexico.
With more than seventeen (17) years of experience in Albuquerque Public Schools—as well as roles in the Archdiocese of Santa Fe and local charter schools—Ms. Chacon brings a wealth of knowledge and a deep commitment to student-centered and inclusive learning. She is well known for creating positive classroom environments that foster both academic and social-emotional growth.
